E-COMMERCE AND ITS IMPACT ON GLOBAL BUSINESS

Dr. Bhadrappa Haralayya, is an esteemed academician and researcher currently serving as HOD and Professor in the MBA Department at Lingaraj Appa Engineering College, Bidar, Karnataka. Born on 5th September 1989 in Rudrawadi village, he excelled in schooling at the government school in Rudrawadi and completed his PUC from Government PU College, Aland. He earned a B. Com degree from A V Patil Degree College, Aland, and an MBA from Appa Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kalaburagi. Joining Lingaraj Appa Engineering College in 2012, he later earned a Ph.D. from OPJS University in 2019 and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship from Srinivas University in 2022. With 102 Scopus-indexed, international & National publications, 14- IEEE Conferences, 8 National & International Conferences, 13 Indian patents, 3 Germany grant patents, 22 Book chapters and 5 Books published his research contributions are remarkable. As a committed educator, he guided 84 postgraduate projects and actively contributes to the academic community as an editorial board member. Dr. Haralayya’s contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, including Global Teaching Excellence – Young Professor of the Year and Young Scientist Award.

Dr. Sunil Kumar Vohra, is an organized and enthusiastic professional with an experience of 22+years including 18+years in Travel and Tourism Industry. During his Industry tenure worked with several International airlines on managerial position. Since 2019, working with Amity University as Program leader, Assistant professor, member secretary of IQAC and Chair Placement in Travel and Tourism department. Member of Leadership team in Travel & Tourism department. Ph.D. qualified in Tourism and Hotel Management, IATA-UFTAA Qualified Instructor, Certified Trainer – National Skill Development Council, Tourism Hospitality skill Council, Master of Arts (Tourism Management), PGDBA and Distinguished Mentoring Skills. Experienced in attending as well as conducting several workshops & training programs within India as well as internationally. In addition to his Industry experience, also have 12+ years of teaching experience as a visiting faculty in different Institutes and colleges for Travel & Tourism, Sales and Management programs. Expertise in areas of-Travel & Tourism, Sales & Marketing, Revenue management, operations. client handling etc.

Ms. Smiley Gandhi, working as Assistant Professor in Department of Computer Science and Engineering in BBDITM Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. She is pursuing PhD in CSE from Galgotias University, Greater Noida. Orcid id: 0009-0005-4463-8588. She has received the M.Tech.(CSE) degree in the area of Computer Science with vast teaching experience of 10 Years in reputed organizations. She has more than 5 international publications in the reputed peer reviewed journals including, SCOPUS and UGC indexed. Her main area of research is Cryptography, Machine learning, Deep Learning, Cyber Security. She has also published two National Patents under the Intellectual Property Rights of Government of India. She is associated in many highly impact society membership like IEEE Member, ACM.

Dr. Manoj Bharatram Pandey, is working as an Associate Professor in Jhulelal Institute of Technology, Nagpur. He is an MBA, Ph.D, & LLB from RTM Nagpur University, PG Diploma in Retail Management. He has over 13 years’ experience in teaching at Post Graduate level and 1 year experience in Industry. He has expertise in the areas of Marketing & Financial Management with particular emphasis on Accounting for Managers and Quantitative Techniques, Cost Accounting, Marketing Management, Consumer Buying Behavior, He has authorized Research Articles which are published in various National and International Journals.

Finding out about the expansion and impact of online commerce as well as its consequences on contemporary company practices and the production of new jobs is the goal of this research project. E- Commerce is growing at a rapid pace across the world with the penetration of smart phones and internet across the different levels of society across the world. The expansion and its benefits are already apparent from the studies conducted in wealthy nations; but, as a consequence of the company expanding to emerging and undeveloped nations, we will be experiencing even more significant positive effects in the years to come. E-commerce paves the way for a new way to do business on a worldwide scale, which will lead to an increase in commercial activity in the days and weeks to come. The effects of globalization, together with the easing of restrictions on exports and imports between countries, will have a positive influence on economies all over the globe, resulting in improved development and innovation in the fields of knowledge and information technology. In addition to the aforementioned, electronic commerce will play a significant impact in the manner in which marketing is conducted as well as the labor markets. E-commerce has quickly become one of the most successful business models, which has brought a myriad of advantages to companies operating in the modern environment. The influence of online shopping on the profitability of businesses is the primary topic of this research. The worldwide marketplace, the absence of time limitations, improved opportunities for connection development with clients, lower overall fixed costs, and other factors have been among the most significant consequences. This study’s objective is to evaluate the influence that e-commerce has had and continues to have on international trade as well as jobs. All nations’ economies may stand to profit from the expansion of electronic trade. The gains are likely to be concentrated in developed countries in the short run but, developing countries will have more to benefit in the long run. Through the use of e-commerce, there will be a rise in the total amount of international trade. The nations that are more receptive to imports from economies with high incomes will be the ones to profit from knowledge spillovers. In addition, there is the commerce conducted online.
