AI, CODE, AND CONCRETE: THE DIGITAL STRATEGY TO TRANSFORM FIELD OPERATIONS AND BRIDGE THE TALENT GAP

Darshit Jasani

Darshit Jasani is a multidisciplinary technology leader whose career spans civil engineering, software development, artificial intelligence, and enterprise-scale digital transformation. With more than eight years of experience advancing innovation in the built environment, he combines deep construction domain knowledge with modern software and AI expertise to build systems that materially improve organizational performance.

Darshit’s academic background reflects a deliberate integration of engineering, computing, and intelligence systems. He earned his Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from S.V. National Institute of Technology in India, graduating as a gold medalist. He then completed a Master of Science in Civil Engineering at Stanford University, followed by a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he specialized in Artificial Intelligence, Human-Computer Interaction, and data-intensive computing. This interdisciplinary foundation enables him to reason about construction processes, software systems, and applied AI with uncommon breadth and depth.

In his role as Software Development Manager at ARCO/Murray, Darshit leads a team of developers and analysts within the Innovation group to modernize construction workflows through advanced software and data initiatives. He architects and delivers enterprise-grade tools that support preconstruction, project management, financial operations, and organizational planning—solutions now used by more than 2,000 associates nationwide. These systems have delivered measurable business value, including more than 30 percent efficiency gains in preconstruction operations.

Darshit’s portfolio increasingly centers on bringing AI into construction technology in pragmatic, high-impact ways. His work includes designing intelligent interfaces, automating repetitive decision workflows, building predictive modeling capabilities on top of ARCO/Murray’s data warehouse, and prototyping agentic AI systems that support estimation, risk analysis, and knowledge retrieval. He has led efforts to integrate large language models into internal applications, enabling natural-language querying, document summarization, and automated pattern extraction from operational data. His AI initiatives focus on augmenting human expertise, improving organizational knowledge flow, and making complex project information more accessible and actionable.

His technical stack spans Python, React, PostgreSQL, AWS, modern data engineering pipelines, and machine learning frameworks. Darshit also oversees the architecture of ARCO/Murray’s analytics platform, enabling data governance, standardized reporting, and AI-driven forecasting across departments. His ability to connect software engineering with applied AI allows him to introduce new capabilities while maintaining reliability, scalability, and user trust.

Darshit’s career began in field and project engineering with The Allen Group, where he supported major programs such as the $2.1B Terminal 2 renovation at San Francisco International Airport. This experience grounds his technology work in a realistic understanding of construction delivery, operational friction points, and the practical constraints that shape technology adoption in the AEC sector.

Outside his organizational role, Darshit is an emerging thought leader in construction innovation, exploring topics such as AI adoption frameworks, digital twins, automation, data governance, and enterprise-level system integration. He frequently evaluates research and emerging tools through a practitioner’s lens—balancing technical rigor with feasibility, scalability, and the human factors that determine whether innovations succeed in real environments.

Darshit is committed to shaping the future of construction through responsible and purposeful use of technology. Whether developing custom enterprise software, architecting data systems, or applying AI to practical construction problems, he focuses on solutions that improve decision-making, increase transparency, and elevate how organizations operate at scale.

Description

To reduce uncertainty and maintain absolutely necessary levels of availability, security, and safety, manufacturers have always used a measured and gradual approach to change. Automation and process improvement have been the cornerstones of technological advancements in plant efficiency for decades. Rising processing power, memory, and sensing capabilities are driving game-changing advancements in Robotics, AI, data analytics, and big data; at the same time, they are reshaping markets, industries, businesses, and even society.  In order to remain relevant in the face of the converging worlds of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT), operations and manufacturing must maximize return on investment (ROI) to assure sustained profitability while simultaneously improving agility, quality and assurance, efficiency, and flexibility.
