Description

The history of the Indian financial markets is detailed in this book. The transmission of information between different financial markets is a topic that has received a significant amount of attention in the academic literature on empirical finance. In order to investigate the connections that exist between the many kinds of financial markets, including the capital market, the money market, the foreign exchange market, and the derivatives market, Numerous new topics on focus areas have recently been added as a direct result of the recent reform of the commerce and management curricula at many universities and autonomous institutions. One of these extensive domains is known as the FINANCIAL SECTOR, and it is made up of financial markets, financial institutions, and financial service providers. In recent years, innovations in the financial sector, both in terms of products and instruments, as well as the adoption of modern technologies, the opening of the market to the economy as a whole, the streamlining of regulatory frameworks, and other related factors, have had an increasingly significant impact on the financial markets. In a similar vein, a plethora of cutting-edge financial products are constantly being developed and distributed in order to meet the various needs of both corporate and individual clients. Students of commerce and management are in desperate need of a good textbook that covers all of these topics and incorporates the most recent advancements in the relevant subjects as a direct result of the shifting financial landscape. An honest effort was made to get this edition into the hands of the academic community because it was realised that there was an urgent requirement to publish an appropriate book on the topic of “Financial Markets and Services” that was tailored to meet the specific requirements that students at many different universities require. Despite the complex nature of the topic being discussed, this book manages to convey every aspect in a clear and understandable manner using straightforward language. This is the book’s unique selling point. All of the most recent advancements have been addressed, and above all else, it is written with the learner in mind. We have every confidence that this book will act as a guiding light for the student population that is pursuing higher education in the field of management and commerce. India’s recent growth rates among big countries are second only to China’s. China’s growth rates have been consistently higher. The Indian financial system has been witnessing an exciting new era of transformation over the past few years, thanks to a skyrocketing stock market, significant foreign portfolio inflows (including the largest private equity inflows in Asia), and a rapidly developing derivatives market. All of these factors have contributed to India having the largest private equity inflows in Asia. The liberalisation of interest rates and the growth of powerful private actors both inside and outside the country, as well as international banks, have brought about significant shifts in the banking industry. At the same time, there is some indication that credit is becoming more difficult to obtain for the small and medium-sized businesses in India that rely largely on trade credit. The standards for good corporate governance in India have been steadily improving over the past several years. In the recent past, microfinance has made a significant contribution to the expansion of financial inclusion, and it is increasingly drawing venture capital as well as for-profit businesses, both domestically and internationally.
