Ms. Pamela Shalini Joseph, Ph.D. Scholar, M.Sc. Nursing Mental Health Nursing is an academician experienced Nursing Professional with sound clinical and theoretical knowledge with administrative skills. She is having more than 25 yrs. of experience in Nursing. Presently working as an Assistant Professor, College of Nursing JNMCH AMU, Aligarh India. She is an Editorial Board Member of Universe Journal of Nursing Research, Lifetime Member of Trained Nurses Association of India, New Delhi, Life time member of Indian Society of psychiatric Nurses. She is counsellor, Examiner and Paper Setter of various Universities. Her Research area includes An Analytical Study on child mental health with special Reference to childhood psychological Disorder.

Ms. Sudha Gautam is an accomplished academician whose professional experience spans more than a decade with various Government and Private Universities and Nursing Colleges. She is currently working as an Associate Professor at Nursing College, Mangalayatan University, Aligarh. She had been a resource person for numerous conferences and seminars at the National and International levels. She has published book Drugs in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She has contributed many chapters in different books. She is highly committed to her profession and actively involved in its upliftment.

Ms. Tanima Verma, M.Sc. Nursing Obstetrics and Gynaecology is Presently working as Nursing Tutor, King George’s Medical University KGMU College of Nursing, Lucknow, U.P, India. She is a Lifetime Member of Trained Nurses Association of India & SOMI. She has trained in Advance life support in Obstetrics (ALSO). She is active member of UP State Medical Faculty. She is Nursing Expert/Inspector in RML University and UP State Medical Faculty, Counsellor, Examiner and Paper Setter of various Universities in U.P. She is organizing member of an International /National Conference, CNE and Workshop. Her Research area include adolescent girls and Antenatal mothers.

Ms. Monica Nancy Lal, M.Sc. Nursing in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Presently working as Nursing Tutor, King George’s Medical University, K.G.M.U. College of Nursing, Lucknow, U.P, India. She had more than 5 years of experience in academics. She had received award for young researcher. She had presented papers and posters in various conferences. She had been an organizing member of many National Conferences, Workshops and CNE. She had delivered lecture as a Speaker and Trained Health Professionals in COVID-19 Pandemic. She is a Lifetime Member of Trained Nurses Association of India, SOMI and NRSI. She is associated with Professional Body as Reviewer for Journal.

Dr. Milka D. Madhale, Ph.D. in the Nursing discipline. Presently working as an Associate Professor, at Arsi University, Asella, Oromia region, Ethiopia. She has proven expertise in teaching, and curriculum development, a successful mentor/educator with vast experience. She had been Resource Person and Chairperson in scientific sessions at the National and International levels. She has developed, organized, and executed original research. She is skillful in creating a favorable learning environment for students with professional poise.

 

Description

Infection control and safety is a practical discipline that values and expects students to execute a wide range of practices in their daily lives. A student must learn a diverse set of abilities in order to become a qualified infection control practitioner.

The primary goal of this book is to support students  knowledge and skill performance of the following infection prevention and control practice (IPCP) skills: hand hygiene, alcohol-based hand rub, donning and removing personal protective equipment (PPE), specimen collection ,BMW, IPSG, safety protocol , safety indicators and removing non-sterile gloves.

The intended audience are novice health care students in undergraduate programs. This resource is best used after you have learned about IPCP in your health care program.

I hope that this book will aid in the development of your knowledge and skills, allowing students to become a skilled infection control practitioner.
